Common Name: Red Obelisk European Beech
This less common cultivar sports dissected leaves emerging a dark red-purple, often mixed with a sprinkling of even lighter margined leaves throughout--a very appealing textural effect. It will grow up to 1' each year, eventually forming a tree of 50-60' in height with a columnar shape.
