Great Plant Picks - This exceptional, slow growing conifer becomes a beautiful dark green, narrow pyramid over many years. The shiny foliage grows in tight overlapping fans which creates layered vase-like cups of scaly leaves. Plants can reach 4 to 5 feet tall over many years. ‘Nana Gracilis’ and the shorter cultivar ‘Nana’ are often confused in the trade. Both are outstanding conifers and differ mainly in height. Look carefully at nursery plants to evaluate their compactness.
