Common Name: Centennial™ Linden
Originating from a Polish botanical garden, this attractive hybrid of Tilia americana and T. tomentosa ‘Petiolaris’ has performed well at the Morton Arboretum since around 1940. It offers notable resistance to Japanese beetles, produces blooms in mid to late June that attract honeybees, and provides dense, cooling shade through the summer.
