Common Name: Taunton Hybrid Yew

Lovely spreading form with dark green needles noted for their resistance to winter burn and tolerance of summer heat. Great for hedges, screens and foundation plantings. Evergreen. Easy Care Plant. Needs regular watering - weekly, or more often in extreme heat. This evergreen is a fine choice for a low, spreading hedge or planted on either side of the front door as accents. It can be planted in little more extreme situations than most yews, as it is resistant to winter burn and tolerant of summer heat. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. For a tidy, neat appearance, shear annually to shape. Pruning time: summer. (Monrovia)
