Common Name: Woodland Sage
An award winning cultivar from Zillmer Nursery in Germany, discovered as a seedling of S. 'Wesuve'. Clumping perennial to 18" tall x 24" wide with dark purple stems, felty, aromatic leaves, and 30” tall flower spikes of vivid blue-violet. Dead-head for longer blooming. Easy in full sun and well-drained, gravely soil. Drought tolerant but prefers summer moisture. Frost hardy in USDA zone 4.
