Pinus ponderosa 'Sester Select'

Common Name: Sester Select Ponderosa Pine

This is a cultivar selected by Sester Farms for its excellent shape and full body. Moderate to rapid growth. Stately when mature with open branches in a spire-like crown. Attractive, plated bark. Needles are glossy, yellow-green to dark green. Very hardy but not adaptable to desert heat. Requires space when older. Small ones make fine bonsai or large potted plants. (Sester Farms)
