Common Name: NewGen Freedom® Boxwood
NewGen Freedom® was selected due to its better resistance to Boxwood Blight and resistance to Boxwood Leafminer. The habit is more uniform and tighter than ‘Wintergreen’ or ‘Winter Gem’. NewGen Freedom is a relatively vigorous, rounded cultivar that is slightly taller than wide, with beautiful glossy medium green foliage — perfect for formal plantings or as a specimen. Its vigor helps create an attractive plant quicker than many cultivars but also makes annual pruning a must. Reaches 3.5’ H x 3.5’ W in 15 years and 5’ H x 5’ W in 25 years.
