Common Name: Lilyturf, Monkey Grass, Spider Grass
This silvery striped, grassy groundcover is as tough as a dragon ... well, maybe not quite that tough, but it works well even in dry shade. Flowers are pale lilac on short spikes in summer followed by black berries in fall. Spreads by underground rhizomes forming a mat over time to approximately 12” high and wide in part sun to sun. Tolerates some summer drought and accepts summer water. Evergreen in USDA zone 7 and frost hardy in zone 4.
