Common Name: Hot Wings® Tatarian Maple Multi-stem
A chance seedling selected from Fort Collins Wholesale Nursery's growing fields. A superior selection of Acer tataricum. Consistent scarlet-red samaras appear in the summer. Fall leaf color changed from orange-red on the outside of the plant to yellow in the middle of the plant. Strong branch unions make it less prone to storm breakage than the species. Tolerates a wide range of soils. Full sun. Multi-stem form
