Common Name: Japanese Forest Grass
This is the species as Mother Nature intended it, and while it cannot compare with the gold-leaved variants for showiness, it has a quiet elegance that shade gardeners will appreciate. It's also more vigorous than 'All Gold' and 'Aureola', and more cold hardy. Spreads slowly by rhizomes and stolons, which makes it suitable for groundcover use. Often has lovely copper-orange fall color. Warm-season grass.
