Common Name: Dwarf Fothergilla, Witch Alder
The lowest growing of Fothergillas, 2-3' tall or up to 5', this form has 1" long white flower spikes and thimble-like flowers. The leaf is dark to almost blue-green, turning to yellow, orange and scarlet in the fall. It does well in partial shade, but the flowers and colors are best when planted in full sun with moist, well-drained, acidic soil.
