Common Name: Purple European Beech
Purple Beech grows slowly to become a stately shade tree for large yards. Plum wine purple new growth turns bronze green in summer, then copper orange for autumn. Very effective planted near the back of the property where its color draws the eye. Alternatively, you can plant several in a row and keep them clipped as a hedge like they do in England.
