Common Name: Mountain Moon Himalayan Dogwood
An extremely high elevation collection of this exciting broad-leaved evergreen, Chinese dogwood, to 20' or so moderately fast. Pure white flower bracts, large, 6" or more in diameter, and abundant in late spring, are followed by showy, somewhat edible, red fruit. Best in full to half sun with average summer water. From the mountains of Bhutan, introduced by Piroche Plants in 1992, these are frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
