Deciduous tree with a lovely, arching vase-shaped habit and domed canopy. Fern-like, compound foliage emerges green in the spring, changes to a dark red, then by the summer is reddish-bronze to chocolate brown. Fuzzy pinkish and white flowers show up in late summer and transform into flat seed pods in the fall that persist into winter.
