Common Name: White Pygmy Sawara Cypress
Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘White Pygmy’ has tiny strands of feathery, white-tipped foliage that produce a fine, velvety texture. Visitors, drawn to the soft, rounded mound by its unique white color, can’t resist reaching out and stroking it. It provides year-round color in the rock garden, trough or miniature garden and maintains its size without pruning. Growth tends to be more open in shadier sites, but plants prefer protection from scorching sun.
