This compact maple, the first upright dwarf in the Pacific Rim® collection, is named for the unique shape of its new leaves, which emerge delicately folded like little paper cranes. Maturing from a vibrant lime to deep green, the fine textured foliage dances in the softest breeze, giving the rounded canopy an elegant and energetic appeal. In fall, it glows with bright yellow and orange color. ‘Origami’ continues to fascinate in winter, when its strong trunk and sturdy branching structure make it stand out as a statuesque garden centerpiece.
