Choice American native Ericaceae - mostly about foliage: evergreen leaves infused with crimson when new, pick up splashes of cream, green & pink later on. Long chains of white spring flowers followed by blue berries. Arching habit to 3 ft. Half sun & normal water seems best. Can be 'hedged' by control freaks. Frost hardy in USDA zone 4.

Beautiful tricolor new growth of white, pink, and copper makes 'Rainbow' an outstanding choice for a shady corner. The colors fade somewhat, but not entirely, as the season progresses, to be replaced by plum-purple color in winter. Graceful arching habit.

Red, yellow, ; cream variegated leaves are an added attraction to this ornamental native with its pendulous white fl clusters ; arching branches; to 3' (somewhat smaller than the species). PSh/Med

The foliage is tricolor variegated, and becomes a rich bronze-purple in winter. Grows to 5' tall and wide.
