Crisp blue green foliage, superior floral display, and good re-bloom make 'Paint the Town Fancy' superior to other varieties on the market. Abundant 1”, single, rosy fuchsia flowers with a dark red eye and serrated petals completely cover the plant when in peak bloom. Dianthus 'Paint the Town Fancy' has increased heat tolerance which translates to better performance nearly nationwide, even in the heat-loving states. Attractive glaucous blue foliage sets it apart from other Dianthus of its type. Flowers appear in early summer, and a quick shearing after flowering will encourage rebloom in late summer/early fall. Hybridized by Hans Hansen of Walters Gardens in Zeeland, Michigan.

Featured in the New Varieties Showcase at the 2020 Farwest Show.
