This beautiful native, evergreen shrub is known and admired for its gnarled branches, dense-crowned picturesque form, rich purple-red smooth bark which checkers and peels every season, and its delicate-pink urn-shaped blossoms. A signature plant of our region, it deserves a specimen location. Manzanita is slow growing, needs excellent drainage, sun, and just a little water. Very drought tolerant.
