Leaves emerge maroon and maintain a margin of that color while in summer green, later turning rich purple-red in autumn. 2-5" flat topped corymbs of creamy white flowers brushed with pink open from red buds in late spring. Mature growth is 6' with a rounded habit.

The velvety, fine-textured leaves of this 10-12' shrub unfold in a dark-maroon ; maintain a maroon tinge during the summer before turning bri-red in fall; an excellent border plant ; birds will love the red fr. S/M
