Ravenna grass is vigorous and can become invasive under full sun, dry to medium moisture conditions. Similar in appearance to the less hardy Pampas grass. Plumes or inflorescences in late summer. Plumes are
purplish-bronze turning to silver-gray in fall and persist well into winter. Narrow, gray-green leaf blades, with a single white stripe. Rustling sound of the foliage can be quite calming.
