Dr. Everett Hansen at Oregon State University has developed a Phytophthora lateralis resistant rootstock. You can use this to graft Port Orford cultivars. This can be grown as medium size tree with wet site tolerance, or simply used as a rootstock for other Lawson varieties. (Rare Tree Nursery)
