Very decorative ; extremely beautiful (G.S.Thomas), this amazing perennial was named for "enormous, metallic" (to 2' across), 7-parted, horse-chestnut- like leaves but admired also for its lovely, foamy 3' pyramidal flowers. PSh/Med-Wet

Large palmate leaves like the chestnut tree its named after are the perfect complement to hosta and ferns. An astilbe-like white flower plume in summer. 3 x 3 feet.
