This may be the hardiest of the rhododendrons from the breeding program at the University of Helsinki in Finland; it has endured -39ºF. Flowers are bright pink with orange-red flecks and appear late season. New growth is reddish, maturing glossy green. Upright habit. 6' x 4'.

Brought to us by the breeding program at University of Helsinki, Finland. Reddish foliage matures to glossy green. Bright pink flowers have orange-red flecks. All on an upright plant that will be 5-6' in height and 3-4' in width. (brachycarpum ssp. tigerstedtii x smirnowii)
