Airy-fairy buckthorn with a delicate lightness to the entire plant -- or the look of a bad hair day (very stylish here in Portland). Deciduous shrub to 10' x 8'. Wispy, fern-like, dark green leaves with translucent edges change to glowing yellows and reds in autumn. Clusters of green flowers appear in spring; red fruit aging black stands out in the fall. Full to part sun with normal summer water. Frost hardy in USDA zone 3.

Whether you need an exclamation point or a specimen for a container, 'Fine Line' fills many needs in the garden with its great fern like foliage and stately columnar habit. 6' tall x 3' wide.

A remarkable mostly sterile form of the alder buckthorn with long, very narrow glossy leaves which give this 15' shrub/tree an overall feeling of lacy airiness. Sun/Med

This is a bushy, deciduous shrub with fernlike, irregularly scalloped leaves of the darkest green. Prefers moist soil and is slow growing to 10' x 10' .
