Delightfully fragrant flowers appear early to mid-May on this deciduous magnolia, heavily flushed with dark pink and rosy purple on both the interior and exterior surfaces of the tepals. An excellent small crowned tree, it will reach 30'.

Midspring into summer these 8" pale pink goblets (white within) dispense their wonderful fragrance from a spreading (to 30'x 30') fast-growing small tree/large shrub; a delightful substitute for M.soulangiana. Sun/Med
