A vigorous selection that bears abundant cones of white flowers in midsummer. The flowers turn pink with age, and the deep green foliage turns burgundy-red in fall. In the South, plants can grow 12' x 12'. At their cold limit, they may reach just half that size.

A strong-growing 8-10' clone selected by Dr.Michael Dirr for its "elegant dark-green summer foliage, burgundy fall-color" ; lovely 12" upright-to-semi-arching flower clusters. PSh/Med (not dry)

A disease resistant variety of the H. quercifolia that has huge white flower heads, up to 14" in width. There's more: the leaves are a fantastic shade of deep carmine in the fall.

One of the tallest in the range of Oak Leaf cultivars with mature size of 8' x 8' Long flower panicles of creamy white and the leaves provide an excellent fall display.
