A more compact form, perhaps 1/3 the ultimate size of the species, which can grow without trimming to 25 ft. This is an especially elegant ornamental, with its urn-shaped delicate flowers, handsome reddish-brown bark, shiny leaves, and brightly colored fruits. Trouble free, it is best suited for a relatively dry site. (Heritage Seedlings)
