PALMATUM, red. Upright-arching and spreading form. Introduced as an improved seedling of 'Bloodgood'. 'Crimson Prince' has deeper purple-red summer color, red fall color, better winter hardiness and faster growth.

Crimson Prince is a red upright that is narrower than a Bloodgood. The summer color is pleasing lavender that distinguishes it from the other red uprights. The fall color is a warm red. Mature height will approach 20'.
