PALMATUM, variegated. Variegation on the leaves of this cultivar is more dependable than many others. The white markings are clearly defined and often unfold into pink tones on new spring growth. Sometimes leaves will be speckled with pink or white. Upright, vase-shaped growth.

The 5-to 7-lobed leaves of this dependable variety vary from being totally ; strikingly white to being white speckled; a delightful small tree, upright ; rounded to 12-20' tall (variegations develop the 2nd year).PSh/Med

Asahi zuru is one of the boldest variegates with pink, green and white leaves. It grows well as a young tree and later slows down and becomes denser and maintains variegation well.
