Hilliers says this is the same as Acer maximowiczianum (I can see the name change) and says it is a beautiful small to medium tree with trifoliate leaves and good orange fall color. I hope this makes you order it as nobody else has. Zone 5.

From high mountains in Japan, this rare (even in Japan) ; beautiful 20-60' maple has 3-parted leaves which turn a glorious orng-flame in fall. S-PSh/M
