Small purple-red leaves hold their color when given enough sunlight. Full sun will cause the burgundy red color to sparkle brightly. This vine maple cultivar dresses up the species and is a slower grower for less maintenance. Well drained soil is preferred. Fall color turns orange to red. (J Farms LLC)
