Foliage is feather-like in shape, rare in Japanese Maples. Spring foliage is burgundy fading to green with apricot highlights. The second flush is bright pink fading to salmon. The result is up to 4 foliage colors at the same time. Fall foliage is bright crimson. Appearance is similar to an upright laceleaf Maple. Shape is a freely-branching, shrubby tree. Mature height is estimated to be 10'.
