Don Schmidt Nursery is located on 200 acres in Boring, Oregon and has been family owned and operated since 1939. We specialize in Japanese Maple, Dogwood and Flowering Cherry varieties. Our over 350 varieties are grown on a six to ten year growth cycle from seedlings or by grafting. They are cultivated using dry land farming techniques to produce a superior plant capable of withstanding higher levels of environmental stress while enhancing hardiness and plant vigor.
After Jim Schmidt's untimely passing in 2009, his son Eric continues to expand on his father's legacy of Japanese Maple.
